• Design and architect Citrix VDI solutions that meet business requirements and align with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand their virtual desktop needs.
• Develop detailed technical designs and documentation for VDI implementations, including infrastructure components, networking, and security.
• Configure and optimize Citrix XenDesktop, XenApp, and other Citrix technologies to deliver a high-performance VDI environment.
• Collaborate with the infrastructure team to integrate VDI solutions with VMware virtualization technologies, ensuring seamless operation and compatibility.
• Implement and configure Netscaler load balancers and gateways to provide secure access to virtual desktops and applications.
• Work closely with the security team to implement and enforce security policies and controls within the VDI environment.
• Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting to ensure optimal VDI performance and user experience.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and enhancements to improve VDI infrastructure and operations.
• Collaborate with the operations team to develop and maintain VDI monitoring and management tools and processes.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and assist in their professional development.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and Citrix product releases to ensure our VDI environment remains innovative and efficient.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Citrix VDI Architect or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Citrix XenDesktop, XenApp, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (formerly XenApp and XenDesktop), Citrix Provisioning Services, and Citrix Workspace.
• Proficiency in VMware virtualization technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, and Horizon View.
• Experience in designing and implementing Netscaler load balancers and gateways for secure remote access.
• Familiarity with Login Enterprise for performance testing and monitoring of VDI environments.
• Knowledge of Eg Innovation products and their integration with Citrix technologies.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewalls.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex VDI environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications, such as Citrix Certified Expert - Virtualization (CCE-V), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or equivalent, are highly desirable.
