We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced D365FO Finance Consultant with a focus on tax implementations for a global client operating in the IT and analytics field. Currently looking at undertaking their implementation of D365FO from legacy systems, they are looking for an experienced consultant to assist with the project.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and deploy tax-related solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, focusing on integrating Avalara AvaTax and managing 1099 reporting for a global organization.
  • Ensure tax functionality is compliant with local, state, and international tax regulations, applying knowledge of sales tax, VAT, and other global tax laws.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to internal teams and end-users, ensuring they can effectively use tax functionalities within D365FO.
  • Address and resolve complex tax-related issues, ensuring accurate tax reporting and smooth operations across global business units.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for tax configurations, processes, and testing, ensuring best practices and knowledge transfer for future implementations.

Key Requirements:

  • 5 years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.
  • Experience in integrating Avalara AvaTax with D365FO, including configuring tax codes, jurisdictions, and automating tax calculations.
  • Strong experience with 1099 reporting in D365FO, ensuring compliance with IRS filing requirements.
  • Deep understanding of global tax regulations (sales tax, VAT, income tax, etc.) and their application in D365FO, particularly in a multinational organization.
  • Expertise in D365FO tax modules and integration with third-party tax engines like Avalara AvaTax.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address and resolve complex tax-related issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels and explain complex tax topics clearly.
