TCS - Data Engineer – Amsterdam – Office Working – – 1st Nov Start • Very good understanding of Bigdata processing principles and its best practices, including design deployment strategies and setting up infrastructure for highly scalable solutions. • Good understanding of distributed system design based on Scalability, Durability and Maintainability. • Experienced with working on public cloud, experience in GCP is a bonus. • Very good knowledge of cloud DevOps/security fundamentals and its best practices. • Good knowledge of microservice architecture, docker container management and container orchestration, and developing microservices using Python or any JVM based languages. • Proficiency in setting up automated processes to Create, Manage, Scale and Destroy infrastructure on cloud, On-demand basis. • Experienced with observability, monitoring, alerting and log analysis using frameworks like Splunk, ELK (elastic stack), Fluentd, Grafana, Ganglia, NewRelic or any equivalent set of tools. • Experienced with configuration management tools e.g. Chef, Puppets or any equivalent. • Experienced with version controls and build tools e.g. Git, Poetry, Maven, SBT or any equivalent. • Good knowledge of setting up CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions or any equivalent. • Proficiency in Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, Shell scripting etc. • Knowledgeable on data security, governance and data life cycle management. • Strong knowledge of SQL for data processing and analysis. • Extensive knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java, Go, Python, or Scala), including concepts from functional and object-oriented programming paradigms. • Good knowledge of Machine Learning models and how they rely on data feeds for their implementation • Broad knowledge of new and emerging tools for extracting, ingesting, and processing of large datasets (Apache Spark, Beam, Kafka, or equivalent). • Broad knowledge of digital product development principles and the importance of rapid validated learning cycles to optimise performance long term. • A team player who takes ownership, builds cross-functional relationships and loves sharing knowledge. • A curious world class problem solver who wants to keep learning! • Passionate about sustainability and driven to making the planet a better place for the many people!
