Design Manager - Frankfurt, Germany

For a leading Data Center client we are looking for several Design Managers for a permanent position in Frankfurt, Germany. You will be required onsite 3-4 days per week!

 The Role

• Lead the development, review, maintenance, and enhancement of design packages, standards, and specifications to ensure consistent, reliable systems.
• Project oversight, Process improvement (develop and enhance design, procurement, construction processes) and quality assurance. Ensure alignment of OFCI design with executed design within the region.
• Stakeholder management and team leadership: lead technical meetings and offering support to Sales and Solutions Engineering, Customer experience, Development Delivery, and Operations.
• Provide regular, detailed updates on design progress, risks, blockers, changes, and priorities
• Procurement and vendor management: Support procurement and regional project lead and oversee the selection of local partners for design development, contract oversight.
• Conduct regular meetings with design teams and create a culture of continuous improvement 
• Technical interface and design: Utilize your technical expertise to interface with the final customer, ensuring compliance with project requirements, codes, and specifications.
• Coordination and Integration and change management and support of processes. Ensuring its effective implementation for all engineering functions and disciplines including but not limited to CSA, M&E, BMS, security, ICT, and Data Module fit out.
• Provide comprehensive reporting to development delivery leadership, highlighting the performance and impact of implemented changes.

Your Skills and Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical field, from an accredited university or college
• 3+ years of experience in data center design management or equivalent managerial positions required, 5+ years preferred
• Data Center experience is preferred - or mission critical
• Experience in Germany construction markets is preferred
• Working knowledge of critical cooling infrastructure and critical power infrastructure data center project
• Working knowledge of building and fire codes ordinances
