ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Develop and implement QA strategies, standards, and best practices.
  • Lead and manage onshore/offshore QA teams, including automation engineers, manual testers, and quality analysts.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and enhance quality processes, efficiency, and team productivity.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning through training, certifications, and knowledge sharing.

Quality Assurance Processes:

  • Establish and integrate QA processes, standards, and best practices within the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Ensure test plans, strategies, and automation frameworks align with modern methodologies such as Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD.
  • Promote the use of automated testing tools and frameworks to improve test coverage, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Oversee defect triage processes, working closely with development and product teams for timely issue resolution.

Product & Risk Management:

  • Implement robust testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) processes, incorporating real user feedback for optimal product performance.
  • Ensure compliance with digital platform industry standards, including WCAG (accessibility), GDPR/CCPA (data privacy), and security best practices.
  • Support large-scale, high-traffic applications by ensuring QA processes address scalability, security, and performance requirements.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in QA, testing tools, and methodologies, incorporating innovations to improve quality.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance test strategies, increase automation, and optimize overall quality engineering efficiency.
  • Develop frameworks for automated testing, performance monitoring, and reporting.

Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with external QA vendors, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Evaluate and select software testing tools and automation frameworks that best fit the organization's needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience & Knowledge Areas:

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in managing large-scale QA teams, with a focus on automation, performance, and security testing.
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail), and frameworks (e.g., Agile, DevOps, CI/CD).
  • Deep knowledge of software development lifecycles and the role of QA in continuous delivery models.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with a history of building high-performing teams.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Required Skills:

  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly presenting technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with strong time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships both internally and externally.
