Javascript Developer

We are looking for a passionate JavaScript Developer (all genders) who loves to make our customers happy by developing secure and high quality video streaming experience on any browser worldwide.

We provide simple and innovative solutions for secure and reliable video streaming on any device in the world. We simplify playback of digital rights management (DRM) protected MPEG-DASH, Smooth Streaming, and HLS video content with a single interoperable player.

Our aim is to keep and foster a positive and learning company culture based on trust, transparency, autonomy and mutual support, fun and respect.

Therefore we removed classical management hierarchies and, instead, implemented Holacracy as organizational framework to give our collaboration a participatorily created structure based on clear roles, transparency and distributed authority among all colleagues. With that we experience a truly flexible working environment with a high level of empowerment and self-responsibility.

How we work

• We are agile and follow agile values such as reflect and adapt
• We have weekly sprints, regular meetings to discuss our projects and retrospectives to reflect and improve our collaboration
• We build new features and fix bugs on our web video player with Vanilla JavaScript, Google Shaka Player, Webpack, Gradle and Google Closure Compiler
• We work closely together with the customer engineers, the professional services and the sales team
• We team up with the Android and iOS developers in the team
• We review code of other team mates and have our code reviewed by them before merging the code to the master branch
• We participate actively in decision making for new and existing features
• We share our knowledge on wikis or together in direct exchange
