Lead Software Engineer

Our Fintech client, headquartered in the US, is a market leader in providing business and credit intelligence to help financial services professionals make faster and smarter investment decisions.

 

They are building out a development team in Bogota and they are looking for a Lead Software Engineer, who will mentor and collaborate with other experienced developers to design, develop and implement solutions to enable their users to navigate the complexities of global credit markets.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain APIs and Services: Design, develop and optimize high-quality APIs using C#.NET, PostgreSQL and Event Driven Architecture.
  • Implement best practices for performance, scalability and security
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and implement new software solutions
  • Work with other teams to facilitate contributions to SDK
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and shared knowledge
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and discussions
  • Debug and fix bugs or performance bottlenecks
  • Ensure code standards, promoting code reusability and long term scalability
  • Take a leadership role, mentoring junior engineers, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices

 

Requirements:

  • 7+ years development experience with C#.NET
  • Experience with Python is a plus
  • Experience with a relational databases - PostgreSQL and/or MySQL
  • Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar Event Driven Architecture
  • Familiarity with Redis or similar cashing framework
  • Strong understanding of AWS
  • Understanding of Terraform, Github actions and Docker
  • Familiarity with authentication and authorizations services (JWTtokens, Auth0)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for technology
  • Fluency with English at a Professional level
