Job Description: Qualys Vulnerability Management Consultant

Summary Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualys Vulnerability Management Consultant to join our dynamic cybersecurity team. This role involves steering Qualys tools, guiding users, creating insightful dashboards, and overseeing the remediation of vulnerabilities.


Role Type: Contract/Fixed Term
Start Date: Immediate/1 month
Salary: Day Rate + Expenses
Location/Language: Netherlands, English


Requirements Description:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in vulnerability management and Qualys tools.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, vulnerability assessment, and risk management.
  • Certifications such as Qualys Certified Specialist, CISSP, CISM are preferred.

Tasks Description:

  • Qualys Tool Management:

    • Administer and configure Qualys Vulnerability Management tools.
    • Ensure optimal performance and accuracy of vulnerability scans.
    • Conduct regular updates and maintenance of the Qualys platform.
  • Vulnerability Scanning and Analysis:

    • Perform scheduled and ad-hoc vulnerability scans across various environments.
    • Analyze scan results to identify and prioritize vulnerabilities.
    • Develop and implement scanning policies and procedures.
  • Remediation and Mitigation:

    • Collaborate with IT and security teams to develop and implement remediation plans.
    • Track and verify the remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
    • Provide guidance and support to stakeholders in understanding and addressing vulnerabilities.
  • Dashboard and Reporting:

    • Create and maintain dashboards that provide clear visibility into the vulnerability landscape.
    • Generate detailed reports for various stakeholders, including technical teams and executive management.
    • Develop custom queries and reports to meet specific needs.
  • User Training and Support:

    • Provide training and support to users of the Qualys tools.
    • Develop and deliver training materials and documentation.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for Qualys-related queries and issues.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in vulnerability management and Qualys tools.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
    • Participate in security audits and assessments.
