Job Title: Front-End Engineer (React, TypeScript)

Location: Remote (100%)

About the Role

My client is seeking an experienced Front-End Engineer with expertise in React and TypeScript to join our team on a 6+ month contract. This remote role is ideal for a developer with a strong technical foundation in modern front-end technologies and experience in financial services. As a Front-End Engineer, you will be responsible for developing user-centric applications that provide seamless, secure, and efficient experiences for our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with designers, back-end engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable front-end solutions.
• Ensure best practices in front-end architecture and design patterns, focusing on performance, scalability, and security.
• Implement UI/UX designs, optimize for accessibility, and maintain visual consistency across applications.
• Integrate with APIs, manage application state effectively, and troubleshoot any integration issues.
• Write clean, maintainable code with comprehensive testing (unit and integration testing) to ensure the reliability of front-end features.
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, code reviews, and team stand-ups.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of total software development experience, with a strong focus on front-end technologies.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, including responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• 1+ year of experience in the financial industry, with familiarity with financial regulations, data privacy, and security best practices.
• Experience with state management tools (e.g., Redux, Context API) and component libraries.
• Proficiency in testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Jest, Testing Library, Cypress).
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems (Git).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with front-end performance optimization and debugging.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Understanding of back-end integration in a microservices architecture.
• Experience with GraphQL and RESTful APIs.
