SAP ABAP Developer – PLM / BOM

Next Ventures are currently executing a search for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with strong functional and technical expertise in SAP PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and Bill of Materials (BOM). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting custom SAP solutions that enable efficient product lifecycle, engineering change management, and BOM processes across the enterprise.

Swedish or european passport or UK passport holders required for client visits and workshops in Sweden (or Swedish residents permit holders).

Key Responsibilities
• Develop, enhance, and maintain custom programs and interfaces related to SAP PLM and BOM
• Create technical specifications and translate business requirements into SAP ABAP solutions
• Support Engineering Change Management (ECM), Material Master & Document Management related processes
• Work closely with functional PLM consultants and business stakeholders to ensure accurate solution delivery
• Conduct unit testing and support system/integration testing (SIT & UAT)
• Optimize existing code to improve performance and comply with SAP best practices / clean core principles
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions
• Develop and maintain RFCs, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, OData services, CDS Views and Fiori enhancements (when relevant)
• Support end-to-end delivery including deployment documentation and handover to support teams

Required Skills & Experience
✔ 8+ years SAP ABAP development experience
✔ Strong hands-on development experience in SAP PLM and Engineering BOM
✔ Proven experience in ECM (Engineering Change Management) and Product Data Management
✔ Experience integrating SAP PLM with PP, MM, DMS or Variant Configuration (VC)
✔ Knowledge of Object-Oriented ABAP and ABAP on HANA
✔ Experience with IDOCs, ALVs, BADI/BTE enhancements, BAPIs, RFCs
✔ Familiarity with Fiori / OData services and modern SAP UX concepts
✔ Excellent communication and documentation skills

Nice to Have
• Experience in WWI Report Generation: Develop and maintain WWI report templates, • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and project managers, to align document management solutions with business requirements.
• Understanding of SAP S/4HANA Clean Core principles.
• Experience in Manufacturing industries.
• English or Swedish language skills
