Job Description
Responsibilities:
SAP Basis Administration:
Perform technical core tasks including SAP software installation, upgrades, application of Support Packages, patches, and fixes.
Install add-on software components as required.
Environment Management:
Maintain multi-landscape environments through activities such as environment copies, system refreshes, and transport management.
Database Expertise:
Demonstrate proficiency in Oracle and SQL databases.
Strong skills in Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management) and Data Guard.
Platform Proficiency:
Possess experience working with LINUX PLATFORM.
Automation and Best Practices:
Implement best practices, tools, and scripts to automate maintenance tasks.
Transport Management:
Create RFCs (Remote Function Call) and configure the Transport Management System (TMS).
Routine Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance tasks including kernel patches, Oracle patches, and application of SAP Notes and fixes.
Monitoring and Management:
Monitor and manage servers, background jobs, and system performance.
Keep track of work processes, application servers, and system logs.
Performance Tuning and Optimization:
Assist in the optimization and performance tuning of SAP systems.
Collaborate on patching and database version upgrades.
Collaboration with UNIX Team:
Work closely with the UNIX team to administer, configure, and optimize SAP systems.
EWA Analysis and Solutions:
Utilize experience related to EarlyWatch Alert (EWA) analysis and implement solutions.
Requirements:
Proven experience in SAP Basis administration.
In-depth knowledge of SAP software installation, upgrades, and maintenance.
Proficiency in Oracle and SQL databases, with strong skills in Oracle ASM and Data Guard.
Experience in LINUX PLATFORM is essential.
Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for maintenance tasks.
Ability to create RFCs and configure TMS.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of routine maintenance tasks, kernel patches, and SAP Notes application.
Experience in monitoring and managing SAP servers and performance optimization.
