SAP S/4HANA Digital Manufacturing Cloud (DMC) Solution Architect

The SAP S/4HANA Digital Manufacturing Cloud (DMC) Solution Architect will lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP DMC within the manufacturing domain, focusing on Production Planning (PP) and Plant Maintenance (PM). This role requires deep expertise in SAP DMC with a strong understanding of automotive and discrete manufacturing processes, particularly around batch production of battery modules and packs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Design & Implementation:

  • Lead end-to-end design, configuration, and deployment of SAP S/4HANA DMC solutions for batch manufacturing.
  • Conduct design workshops and configure DMC processes, covering work instructions, data collection, assembly, sub-assembly, non-conformance, product genealogy, and reporting.
  • Implement SAP DMC for batch production, supporting inline and final inspections, non-conformance reporting, and genealogy tracking of battery modules and packs.

• Technical Expertise & OT Integration:

  • Configure and integrate Operational Technology (OT) interfaces, including OPC DA, OPC UA, OPC HDA, Modbus, Profibus, and OSI PI.
  • Set up and implement SAP Plant Connectivity (PCO) for seamless data communication between SAP and OT systems.
  • Ensure end-to-end shopfloor integration with DMC Execution and Insights.

• Project Management & Methodology:

  • Leverage SAP Activate methodology and agile project management approaches to drive successful project execution.
  • Collaborate closely with business and technical teams, adhering to project timelines, standards, and quality requirements.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members and ensure best practices in SAP configuration and implementation.

• Client Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding business requirements and translating them into effective SAP DMC solutions.
  • Present solutions and provide industry-specific recommendations to align with the client's goals.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction with the implemented solution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience:

  • 10+ years of SAP implementation experience in the manufacturing domain, focusing on Digital Manufacturing Cloud (DMC), Production Planning (PP), and Plant Maintenance (PM).
  • At least one full-cycle S/4HANA DMC implementation project, with experience in automotive or discrete manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of SAP Activate methodology and agile frameworks.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Proficient in DMC Business features, including Work Instructions, Data Collection, Assembly/Sub-assembly, Non-Conformance, Product Genealogy, and Standard Reports.
  • In-depth knowledge of OT interfaces (OPC DA, OPC UA, Modbus, Profibus, OSI PI) and hands-on experience with SAP Plant Connectivity (PCO).

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong client-facing and communication skills with the ability to lead workshops and present solutions effectively.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

• Certifications:

  • SAP S/4HANA PP and/or PM certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP Manufacturing Execution (ME) or SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (MII).
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in automotive and discrete manufacturing.
• Additional project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
