SAP Integration Lead (SAP PI & SAP Integration Suite) Location: Sweden Gothenburg 9 months contract Start 2/1/2025

About the Role: We are looking for an experienced and proactive SAP Integration Lead with strong expertise in SAP PI (Process Integration), SAP Integration Suite (CPI), and integration technologies. The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of overall experience in SAP integrations, with significant hands-on experience in SAP PI (8+ years) and SAP Integration Suite (3+ years). You will be responsible for leading a team of integration specialists, driving the integration strategy, and ensuring the successful delivery of cloud-to-on-premises and cloud-to-cloud integrations across various SAP products. The role requires a candidate with excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to take ownership of integration processes, from landscape analysis to development and testing. You should be hands-on and capable of working directly with clients to meet project needs and ensure high-quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead a team of integration specialists, define priorities, track progress, and ensure that integration tasks are completed on time with high quality.
Integration Strategy: Contribute to and drive the integration strategy for the project, providing guidance on best practices and technical approaches to ensure the seamless flow of data between systems.
PI to CPI Migration: Take ownership of the migration from SAP PI to SAP CPI, ensuring all integrations are successfully transferred and optimized in the new environment.
Interface Development: Develop inbound and outbound interfaces for integration between cloud and on-premises SAP instances, ensuring secure and reliable data exchanges.
Adapter Expertise: Utilize a wide range of adapters (File, SFTP, Proxy, IDocs, AMQP, RFC, REST, SOAP, OData, JMS) for synchronous and asynchronous communication.
Security Standards: Understand and apply relevant security standards (e.g., SAML, WS-Trust, OAuth, OpenID Connect) in the context of SAP integrations to ensure secure communication.
Scripting & Customization: Develop Groovy or Java scripts for enhancing integration functionality and custom business logic.
Monitoring & Admin Activities: Manage SAP CPI monitoring, perform application administration activities, and ensure integrations are running smoothly.
Error Handling: Implement error handling mechanisms in line with SAP CPI and PI/PO architecture best practices, ensuring minimal disruption to integration processes.
Client Engagement: Communicate directly with clients to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Migrations & Pre-Requisites: Conduct landscape analysis, define message flows, handle application integrations, assess message volumes, and provide proof of concept for integration tasks.
Shift Flexibility: Be flexible and available to work in shifts, if required, to support the integration operations across different time zones.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Overall Experience: 12+ years of experience in SAP Integrations.
SAP PI Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Process Integration (PI).
SAP CPI Experience: At least 3+ years of experience with SAP Integration Suite (CPI).
Integration Expertise: Proficiency in developing and maintaining inbound and outbound interfaces, with experience in both cloud and on-premises SAP integrations.
Adapter Experience: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with various adapters including File, SFTP, Proxy, IDocs, AMQP, RFC, REST, SOAP, OData, JMS, and more, supporting both synchronous and asynchronous communication.
Security Knowledge: Familiarity with integration security standards such as SAML, WS-Trust, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
Scripting Skills: Experience with Groovy and Java scripting to enhance integrations.
CPI Administration: Knowledge of SAP CPI monitoring, application administration, and troubleshooting.
Design & Best Practices: Strong understanding of SAP CPI design best practices, error handling mechanisms, and SAP PI/PO architecture.
Proactive Approach: Ability to take ownership of integration tasks, drive strategy, and ensure successful project execution.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
Desirable Skills:
SAP Cloud Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP Cloud solutions and cloud-to-cloud integrations.
Certification: SAP PI or SAP CPI certification is a plus.
Project Management: Experience in leading or coordinating integration projects, including client-facing responsibilities.
Migration Experience: Experience with large-scale SAP PI to CPI migration projects.
