SAP MDG Functional Consultant (Sourcing & Procurement Domain)

Location: Sweden Remote (EU-based candidates preferred)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Long-term
Work Authorization: EU or UK passport holders only
Language: English (fluent)


We are currently looking for a seasoned SAP MDG Functional Consultant with deep experience in S/4HANA and a strong understanding of sourcing and procurement processes to join a dynamic global project in the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Configure SAP MDG 2023 on S/4HANA for Material, Vendor, and optionally Finance master data domains
  • Set up data models, BRF+ rules, UI modelling, workflows, and data replication
  • Customize MDG to support S2C and S2P processes
  • Align configuration with business needs in collaboration with master data architects
  • Lead governance processes and ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Deep knowledge and hands on experience with SAP MDG 2023  (SAP MDG on SAP S/4HANA)
  • Certified - MDG100 and MDG200
  • Domian knowledge
  • Industry:  manufacturing
  • Process areas: S2C , S2P
  • MDG Domain Expert (Material, Business Partner, Finance master data) 
  • Knowledge of S/4 HANA centralized and de-centralized set ups and interaction in context of interaction with MDG
    Role:
    • Configure the MDG data model and workflows according to the design of the master data architect 
    • Customize MDG for specific master data objects (Material, Vendor, etc.) 
    • Set up data replication, BRF+ rules, and UI modelling 
    • Sub-roles (depending on scope):  
    • MDG-M (Material), MDG-V (Vendor), optional MDG-F (Finance) 
  • Hands on work with configuration - MDG (Activate services - functions / role set up / Data modelling / process modelling / replication set up )
  • Set up governance process – Workflow
    What We're Looking For:
    • 10+ years of hands-on SAP Master Data experience
    • 15+ years in data governance overall
    • Strong domain experience in automotive manufacturing
    • SAP Certifications in MDG100 and MDG200
    • Deep knowledge of centralized and decentralized S/4HANA setups
    • Proven ability to deliver end-to-end MDG implementations

    Nice to Have:
    • Experience with MDG-F (Finance)
    • Background in large-scale, multinational projects
    • Comfortable with stakeholder engagement and independent delivery
