Next Ventures are currently seeking a highly experienced SAP PLM Functional Consultant to support the implementation and optimization of SAP PLM solutions, with a primary focus on Document Management and WWI Reporting. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of SAP PLM processes, particularly within product development and change management, as well as a strong understanding of documentation controls in regulated industries (medical device experience is highly desirable).
You will be responsible for translating business requirements into effective SAP PLM configurations, developing and managing WWI Reports, and integrating with related systems such as SAP MDG.
Conduct workshops with stakeholders to capture and analyze business needs
Detail functional specifications, process flows, and validation scripts
Identify and address gaps between standard SAP PLM functionality and user requirements
Configure SAP PLM for:
Document Management
Specification Management (linking documents to materials/specs)
Product Change Management (e.g., ECR/ECO processes)
Develop WWI Reports (e.g., product descriptions, safety data sheets)
Customize workflows, BRF+ rules, and status networks
Collaborate with technical teams for ABAP and system enhancements
Create and execute test plans (P2P, SIT, UAT)
Provide end-user training and produce documentation
Offer post-go-live support, issue resolution, and ongoing optimization
Monitor system performance and apply relevant SAP Notes
5+ years of hands-on SAP PLM experience
Proven configuration experience with Document Management and WWI Reporting
Strong knowledge of:
Engineering Change Management (ECR/ECO)
Specification & Recipe Management
Integration with SAP MDG
Experience in regulated environments, ideally medical devices
Solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA PLM is a strong advantage
Ability to work cross-functionally across business and technical teams
Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
SAP PLM certification (preferred)
Experience with integration to 3rd party RIMS or compliance systems
Knowledge of FDA or ISO standards in product documentation and traceability
