Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP PP-PI (Production Planning for Process Industries) Consultant to lead the design and implementation of production and planning processes for a Danish manufacturing and wholesale company. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of SAP PP-PI, integration experience with other modules, and expertise in process manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design & Implementation:

  • Conduct workshops to gather requirements and map the production planning processes to SAP PP-PI functionalities.
  • Design and configure SAP PP-PI solutions, including recipes, master data (BOMs, Resources), and process orders.
  • Configure and implement production planning, scheduling, capacity planning, and shop floor execution.

Industry-Specific Expertise:

  • Adapt SAP PP-PI to meet the needs of the Danish manufacturing and wholesale environment.
  • Design and implement process manufacturing scenarios, including batch management and quality integration.
  • Optimize production processes for compliance with Danish and EU manufacturing regulations.

Integration & Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with SAP MM, SD, and QM teams to ensure seamless cross-functional integration.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure alignment between SAP processes and business requirements.
  • Integrate SAP PP-PI with external systems like MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and SCADA for shop floor automation.

Testing, Training & Support:

  • Develop and execute test plans, including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT.
  • Deliver training to key users and end-users on SAP PP-PI functionalities.
  • Provide go-live and post-go-live support, ensuring smooth transition and operation of the production planning processes.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

  • 10+ years of SAP implementation experience with at least 2 full lifecycle implementations in SAP PP-PI.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP PP-PI processes: Master Data (Recipes, BOMs, Resources), Process Orders, Batch Management, and Shop Floor Control.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA PP-PI and its advanced features.
  • Strong understanding of process manufacturing, including handling of co-products and by-products.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with the Danish manufacturing and wholesale industry, including regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Experience with planning and production in highly regulated environments.

Project Management & Methodology:

  • Proficient in SAP Activate methodology and agile ways of working.
  • Ability to manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP S/4HANA PP-PI Certification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of integration with MES systems, DMC (Digital Manufacturing Cloud), or SCADA.
  • Familiarity with SAP QM and its integration with PP-PI.
  • Integration SAP EWM would be beneficial

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
