Next Ventures are currently executing a search for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Solution Architect for a new project opportunity in Sweden.

Location: Onsite & hybrid working arrangement (applicants must be legally able to work on site in Sweden.

Job Overview:

The SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Solution Architect will play a leading role in designing, configuring, and deploying SAP S/4HANA EWM solutions for complex manufacturing environments. With a focus on the automotive and discrete manufacturing industries, this role will manage full-cycle EWM implementations, driving efficiency in inbound/outbound logistics, internal transfers, and inventory management through automation and integration with other SAP modules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Design & Implementation:

  • Lead the end-to-end design and configuration of S/4HANA EWM processes, including inbound and outbound logistics, internal transfers, and physical inventory.
  • Conduct workshops with stakeholders to capture detailed requirements, translate them into scalable EWM solutions, and guide the configuration process.
  • Configure and integrate EWM with quality management (QM) processes, value-added services (kitting), and automation, including traffic control systems and automated equipment.

• Cross-Functional Integration:

  • Ensure robust cross-functional integration with other SAP modules, including Production Planning (PP), Materials Management (MM), and Quality Management (QM), to deliver comprehensive EWM solutions.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to streamline processes and maintain data integrity across modules.

• Automation & Technology Enablement:

  • Implement and configure EWM solutions for integration with automated systems, ensuring compatibility with traffic control systems, automated conveyors, robotics, and other warehouse technologies.
  • Guide clients on best practices for warehouse automation and leverage SAP EWM functionalities for improved operational efficiency.

• Project Management & Methodology:

  • Apply SAP Activate methodology and agile practices to manage project deliverables and timelines, from initial scoping through to deployment and go-live.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, maintain quality standards, and provide project updates.

• Client Engagement:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, building strong relationships and providing guidance on best practices for EWM implementation.
  • Present and demonstrate solutions tailored to the client’s operational needs, aligning project goals with business objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience:

  • 10+ years of SAP implementation experience, with a focus on Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) in manufacturing environments.
  • At least two full lifecycle S/4HANA EWM implementations, including one in the automotive or discrete manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in SAP Activate methodology and agile project delivery.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Advanced knowledge of EWM processes such as inbound/outbound logistics, internal transfers, physical inventory, value-added services (kitting), and EWM-QM integration.
  • Experience integrating EWM with automated equipment, traffic control systems, and warehouse automation technologies.

• Certifications:

  • S/4HANA EWM certification is preferred.

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to lead workshops, facilitate discussions, and present solutions effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of developing solutions to complex logistics and warehouse challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in SAP Transportation Management (TM) integration with EWM.
• Familiarity with warehouse automation tools and emerging trends in logistics technology.
• Additional certifications in SAP or project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are advantageous.
