Job Overview:

As an SAP S/4HANA Finance & Controlling (FI/CO) Solution Architect, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, configuration, and deployment of SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling solutions in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Focusing on the automotive and discrete manufacturing industries, this role requires expertise in finance-to-manage and controlling processes, cross-functional integration, and hands-on experience with SAP Activate methodology to deliver value-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Design & Implementation:

  • Lead the design and configuration of end-to-end S/4HANA Finance (FI) processes, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (G/L), Asset Accounting, Intercompany processes, and month-end closing.
  • Drive the setup of S/4HANA Controlling (CO) processes, such as Cost Element Accounting, Activity-Based Accounting, Product Cost Controlling, and Profitability Analysis.
  • Conduct workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements, outline project goals, and ensure solutions align with client business needs.

• Cross-Functional Integration:

  • Ensure integration with other SAP modules (e.g., Sales, Production, and Supply Chain) to provide cohesive solutions across finance and operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain integration points that streamline data flow and maintain consistency across modules.

• Project Management & Methodology:

  • Apply SAP Activate methodology and agile project management principles to oversee project lifecycles, from initial scope and design to implementation and support.
  • Drive project alignment with stakeholders, manage timelines, and maintain quality standards for successful delivery.

• Client Engagement:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, presenting tailored solutions and guiding them on best practices for financial management and controlling within SAP.
  • Lead client workshops, facilitate discussions, and provide comprehensive documentation and knowledge transfer to end-users.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience:

  • 10+ years of SAP implementation experience in Finance and Controlling (FI/CO) with expertise in S/4HANA Finance and Controlling processes.
  • At least two full lifecycle S/4HANA Finance implementations, including one in the automotive or discrete manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in SAP Activate methodology and agile project delivery.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Deep knowledge of Finance processes (Org Structure, Master Data, AR, AP, G/L, Asset Accounting, Product Costing, and Reporting) and month-end closing procedures.
  • Expertise in Controlling processes, including Cost Element Accounting, Activity-Based Accounting, Product Cost Controlling, and Profitability Analysis.
  • Strong understanding of intercompany transactions, reporting, and financial consolidation requirements.

• Certifications:

  • S/4HANA Finance certification is required; additional certifications in Controlling or Project Management are advantageous.

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate workshops, lead discussions, and present solutions effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of developing solutions for complex financial and controlling challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with additional SAP modules that interact with finance and controlling, such as MM (Materials Management) and SD (Sales and Distribution).
• Background in automotive or manufacturing industries is highly advantageous.
• Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
