SAP Software Asset Manager Business Analyst
Next Ventures are currently executing a search for a highly skilled Business Analyst with expertise in SAP Software Asset Management (SAM) and licensing. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of SAP licensing principles, contractual frameworks, and audit processes, ensuring compliance and optimization of SAP software assets across the organization.
Location: Remote for client in Sweden
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time (8 hours per day , 40 hours per week)
Duration 6 months +
Key Responsibilities:
License Management & Compliance:
- Manage license consumption metering processes for SAP products, ensuring compliance with licensing terms.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance risks and rectify them.
- Maintain a centralized repository of SAP license contracts, agreements, and invoices, ensuring accessibility and accuracy.
Optimization & Cost Control:
- Analyze license usage data to identify underutilized licenses and recommend optimization strategies.
- Explore license reassignment options and make recommendations to maximize value.
- Contribute to budget preparation and monitoring for SAP software products and licenses.
Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Engage with SAP vendors for licensing queries and contract discussions.
- Support software procurement to ensure alignment with company policies.
- Provide guidance to project managers, infrastructure teams, and application portfolio managers on licensing best practices.
Reporting & Audits:
- Run internal SAP licensing reports and maintain accurate compliance documentation.
- Support external audits, ensuring smooth execution and compliance.
- Provide regular reports on license consumption and compliance.
Required Skills & Experience:
SAP Software Licensing Expertise – Strong understanding of SAP licensing models, contracts, and compliance frameworks.
Audit & Compliance – Hands-on experience in SAP audit processes and risk mitigation.
License Optimization – Proven track record of analyzing and optimizing SAP license usage.
ServiceNow SAM Pro – Experience with ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM Pro) is a strong asset.
Stakeholder Management – Ability to work in a global environment with cross-cultural awareness.
Communication & Presentation – Strong documentation, reporting, and presentation skills.
Data Analysis – Comfortable working with multi-source data analysis to drive licensing insights.
Technical Background – A technical understanding of SAP software is a plus.
Language: Full proficiency in English is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a global organization with complex SAP licensing environments.
Background in procurement, IT asset management, or financial planning related to software.
