Job Overview:
Next Ventures are currently executing a search for an experienced SAP Vistex Consultant to lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Vistex Paybacks & Chargebacks, Billback Claims, Ship & Debit, and Accruals & Settlement processes within a global SAP S/4HANA environment. The ideal candidate will have strong functional and technical expertise in Vistex modules, particularly with handling VAT, regional tax complexities, and multi-regional rebate processing (US, EMEA, Asia).
Key Responsibilities:
- Vistex Paybacks & Chargebacks: Configure and manage chargeback and billback claims processes to ensure accurate distributor payments and rebates.
- Billback Claims Management: Oversee billback claims workflow, validation rules, and integration with finance & accounting (SAP FI/CO).
- Vistex Ship & Debit Process: Implement and manage the Ship & Debit process across US, EMEA, and Asia, ensuring compliance with VAT and regional tax requirements.
- Vistex Accruals & Settlement: Develop and optimize accrual management, settlement processes, and reconciliation in SAP Vistex.
- Regional Tax Handling: Ensure proper configuration of VAT, GST, and other regional tax structures within Vistex for accurate financial reporting.
- Integration & Data Flow: Work with SAP SD, MM, FI/CO, and BI teams to integrate Vistex with pricing, invoicing, and settlement workflows.
- Business Process Alignment: Collaborate with finance, sales, and distribution teams to streamline trade spend management and incentive programs.
- Performance Optimization: Identify enhancements, automation opportunities, and reporting improvements in Vistex modules.
- Testing & Training: Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing), provide user training, and support post-go-live stabilization.
Key Skills & Experience:
SAP Vistex Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Vistex Paybacks & Chargebacks, Billback Claims, and Ship & Debit.
SAP S/4HANA: Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA Vistex solutions and integration with SD, MM, and FI/CO.
Global Tax Compliance: In-depth understanding of VAT handling within Vistex for Europe and global tax structures.
Rebates & Incentive Management: Experience in accruals, settlements, and financial reconciliation processes.
Business Process Optimization: Proven ability to streamline Vistex workflows, enhance data accuracy, and reduce processing time.
Cross-Regional Experience: Knowledge of regional differences in rebate and chargeback processes (US, EMEA, APAC).
Technical & Functional Skills: Ability to configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Vistex master data, pricing conditions, and settlements.
Stakeholder Engagement: Strong experience working with finance, sales, IT, and supply chain teams to align Vistex processes with business needs.
- Vistex Paybacks & Chargebacks module specifically with Billback claims management process experience
- Vistex Ship & Debit process experience in different regions (US/EMEA/Asia) with handling VAT taxes within Vistex for Europe & other regions
- Vistex Accruals & Settlement process experience.
- Knowledge of Vistex Billback process - Agreement Management, Billback S&D Claims Management, Pools management, Distributor inventory (Invoices, returns and POS data), Accruals & Settlement, Billback Reporting
- Configure IP Agreement types and Number ranges, Claim type, Vistex pricing procedure, Vistex Action code, Vistex Rejection Reason, Condition type groups and different condition types, accrual and settlement profiles.
- Work with Vistex ABAP developers to design new functionality and enhancements and Communicating with the client and users to pass on solutions.
- Coordinate with SAP Basis team on designing and development of Vistex Archival process to archive Ship and Debit Claims/Vistex Agreements/Vistex Agreement Requests
- Analyze the current issues and provide solutions and Prepare test scripts for all the business processes.
- Provide support for integration testing and help develop training documentation.
- Knowledge and work with other functional areas (OM/Material Master/FI/EDI)
- Experience in SAP SD configuration; SAP Vistex Configuration, knowledge of ABAP
- Prepare functional and technical specifications, development, unit & system testing and user testing.
- Knowledge of EDI IDOC for Outbound/inbound for Claim creation/Claim response and Agreement response
- Managed new Enhancement requests which involved the entire circle of collecting Business requirements documents, preparing functional and technical specifications, development, unit & system testing and user testing.
- Work on Specification (FDD) documentation, development, Unit Testing/Functional testing /and Supporting User Acceptance testing
- Knowledge of Customer and Material master which is used in Vistex during Agreement, Claim and IP document processing.
- Deliver Enhancements using a Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) Approach
- Work with ITSM/Service desk ticketing systems (Service Now).
- Handling global Vistex support to US, Asia & Europe. Solving the incident as per priority basis.
- Testing of custom transactions and reports to ensure that functionality works as intended after upgrade.
- Able to research SAP Vistex issues through OSS, evaluating, applying and testing OSS notes.
- Knowledge of DMR
- Knowledge of VIZI
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP Vistex Certification (highly desirable)
- Experience with SAP Fiori, HANA-based reporting, or BI analytics for Vistex data analysis
- Knowledge of ABAP debugging for issue resolution in Vistex workflows
