Senior Backup and Storage Specialist

Location: Chicago, IL (must be able to interview F2F in Chicago location)

We are seeking a Senior Backup and Storage Specialist with extensive expertise in Veritas backup systems, IBM SAN, Netapp, Brocade, DELL EMC, and ServiceNow for change management. The ideal candidate will have a strategic approach to data management, ensuring seamless and secure backup operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage Veritas backup solutions to maintain data availability and integrity.
• Optimize storage solutions using IBM SAN, Netapp, Brocade, and DELL EMC systems.
• Monitor and manage backup environments to ensure robust data protection and recovery.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement best practices in data storage and backup.
• Utilize ServiceNow for efficient change management regarding storage and backup processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to storage and backup systems.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to enhance backup strategies.
• Develop and maintain documentation for backup configurations and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in managing Veritas backup systems; Veritas certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of IBM SAN, Netapp, Brocade, and DELL EMC storage solutions.
• Proficiency in ServiceNow for change management operations.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
