As a Business Intelligence Software Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in enterprise applications and development to enhance business outcomes through Data Sourcing (ETL), Report Building, and Data Governance. You will manage the entire lifecycle of ETL processes and PowerBI solutions, including analysis, development, testing, deployment, and post-deployment support. Collaborating closely with Product Owners, you will translate business requirements into effective ETL solutions, ensuring robust performance and reliability of data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Requirement Analysis: Understand and interpret business needs to implement technical solutions using enterprise application knowledge and technical expertise.
• Master Data Management: Apply principles of master data management to ensure data consistency and integrity.
• ETL Development: Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for both on-premises and hybrid environments. Optimize SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various sources to target databases.
• Error Handling: Implement error handling, logging, and auditing mechanisms to monitor and resolve issues with SSIS packages, ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Data Integration: Develop data integration and orchestration workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF) for cloud-based solutions. Optimize ETL processes for scalability and performance.
• Documentation: Document ETL processes, data mappings, technical specifications, and best practices for future reference and maintenance.
• PowerBI Development: Create and optimize PowerBI functionalities to enhance enterprise applications, data integration, and reporting. Design and develop PowerBI data models and reports, following best practices.
• Data Analysis: Perform data analysis, profiling, and pattern recognition to resolve data discrepancies. Collaborate with Data Engineers to clean and transform data for reporting purposes.
• Testing Support: Assist with QA and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for PowerBI solutions.
• Agile Practices: Participate in agile team activities including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Industry Knowledge: Stay current with industry best practices, tools, and technologies related to ETL, data integration, and cloud-based solutions.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in business intelligence, data integration, or a similar field.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and team-building skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities with effective written and verbal communication.
• Commitment: Demonstrated passion for operational excellence, with a track record of delivering projects on scope, on time, and within budget.
• Preferred Experience: Familiarity with QAD or SAP ERP systems, and experience with Azure or AWS Cloud platforms.
• Certifications: Power BI Certification is preferred.

Education:

• Degree: Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Certifications: Any Cloud Database Certification is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

• Sedentary work involving exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

Working Conditions:
