Our Fintech client, headquartered in the US, is a market leader in providing data and business intelligence to help financial services professionals make faster and smarter investment decisions.

They are building out a development team in Bogota and they are looking for a Lead Front End Engineer to mentor and collaborate with other experienced developers to design, develop and implement solutions, enabling their users to navigate the complexities of global credit markets.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable, high performance web applications.
• Lead and mentor team of front-end developers.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure quality through code reviews, testing and performance optimization.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in front-end development.
• Drive tech initiatives from end to end, with an understanding of the backend as well.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience with front-end development
• Extensive experience with JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Strong knowledge of modern frameworks (Vue, React and/or Angular)
• Strong understanding of software architecture
• Experience in Tailwind, pixel-perfect design is a plus
• Unit tests, consuming Figma and using Storybook, are pluses
• Some backend coding experience is a plus (preferably in PHP, Python or C#)
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency with English to collaborate with global teams
• Extensive research capabilities to be able to tackle challenges that arise
