Requirements:

Key Responsibilities (Prioritized)

1. Financial Data Management: Load, validate, and maintain financial cost data (General Ledger, vendor, labor, asset data) within Apptio or similar TBM/financial planning platforms to ensure accuracy and completeness for budget and forecast cycles.
2. Data Quality Assurance: Perform routine data quality checks to ensure consistency, completeness, and integrity across TBM datasets and reports.
3. Platform and User Access Support: Administer user access and role provisioning within Apptio or comparable platforms according to governance and access standards, and assist with onboarding and training as needed.
4. Issue Resolution and Collaboration: Identify, analyze, and resolve routine data and reporting issues, escalating complex problems to the TBM team and supporting root cause analysis.
5. Process Documentation and Continuous Improvement: Maintain and update documentation related to financial data workflows and operational procedures, and contribute to process improvement initiatives including standardization and automation.

Experience and Skills

• Preferred Experience:
• Hands-on experience with Apptio Cost Transparency and Planning modules is highly desirable.
• Apptio experience is highly relevant for this role because the scope specifically involves supporting Apptio Cost Transparency and Planning modules, including financial data management, platform operations, and user access within Apptio. Familiarity with Apptio would enable the candidate to quickly understand the platform's functionalities, data structures, and operational processes, which is critical for efficient and accurate execution of the responsibilities.
• Alternative Technology Business Management (TBM) systems or financial planning platforms experience that could serve as a good substitute includes: such as ServiceNow IT Financial Management, Cloudability, Workday Adaptive Planning, Oracle Hyperion, SAP FP&A, Anaplan, or IBM Cognos TM1.
• Financial Data Management:
• Strong understanding of financial data structures including General Ledger, vendor, labor, and asset data.
• Experience supporting budget and forecast cycles through accurate data management.
• Platform Operations:
• Proven ability to manage platform user access, roles, and permissions in accordance with governance standards.
• Experience providing user support, onboarding, and training related to financial or TBM platforms.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve data and reporting issues effectively.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Process Improvement:
• Strong documentation skills for workflows, operational procedures, and controls.
• Proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies and contributing to process standardization and automation.
• Communication:
• Effective communication skills to engage with stakeholders and support training and enablement activities.
