An ambitious and fast-growing advisory and investment group focused exclusively on Financial Services is looking for an experienced Principal Consultant to join its Insurance practice.

Your Responsibilities
Lead strategic insurance transformation programs
Take ownership of complex consulting engagements focused on insurance operations, digital transformation, and technology modernization. Deliver measurable business impact for major clients across the European insurance market.
Act as a senior industry advisor
Serve as a trusted expert within the insurance domain, bringing strong market knowledge, strategic insight, and hands-on experience in insurance IT and operational transformation.
Drive business growth
Support business development activities by building client relationships, contributing to proposals and presentations, and identifying new opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
Contribute to practice development
Play a key role in shaping the future direction of the consulting practice by helping expand capabilities, develop offerings, and strengthen market presence.
Mentor and develop talent
Guide and support junior consultants through coaching, feedback, and leadership, helping build a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Expertise
- 8+ years of professional experience within top-tier consulting, insurance transformation, or related advisory environments
- Strong background in insurance operations, IT transformation, and large-scale change programs
- Experience working with insurers across the DACH and/or broader European market
- Proven ability to manage senior client stakeholders and executive-level relationships
Commercial Mindset
- Demonstrated success in business development, account growth, or sales support activities
- Strong professional network within the insurance industry is highly desirable
Leadership Qualities
- Entrepreneurial attitude with the ability to operate independently
- Comfortable taking ownership and driving initiatives forward
- Strong mentoring and people management capabilities
- Resilient, adaptable, and effective in high-pressure environments
Education & Languages
- Excellent academic background
- Fluent German and English required
