I’m currently working on a long-term contract opportunity with a major German organisation looking for an experienced SAP Technical / BASIS Architect.

The role is centred around a greenfield S/4HANA implementation, with responsibility for defining the technical architecture across S/4, SAP BTP/CPI and multiple non-SAP satellite systems, including MES and order-entry platforms.

Key requirements:

• Strong SAP BASIS background with progression into architecture
• Enterprise-level / Solution Architecture experience
• Greenfield S/4HANA implementation experience
• SAP BTP and CPI / Integration Suite
• Designing complex SAP/non-SAP integration landscapes
• Experience with multiple satellite systems
• Strong stakeholder management and architectural governance experience
• Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and making technical decisions
• AI/BTP exposure is highly relevant

The key requirement is someone who has actually owned enterprise architecture decisions on large-scale S/4 programmes, rather than purely operating as a BASIS engineer.
