Overview
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Fusion Accounting & Financials Functional Consultant to provide hands-on support throughout a major Oracle Cloud deployment across North America.
The role will be the primary functional point of contact for Accounting and Financials, supporting users from UAT through go-live and stabilisation while working across General Ledger, Subledger Accounting, AP, AR, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Tax, and the integration between PPM and the accounting layer.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary functional point of contact for Oracle Fusion Accounting and Financials.
  • Support General Ledger processes including chart of accounts, segment usage, journals, allocations, and period close.
  • Provide functional expertise across Subledger Accounting, including accounting rules, transaction-to-GL traceability, and reconciliation.
  • Support AP, AR, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, and Tax processes to the level required to trace and explain transactions end to end.
  • Monitor and support the integrity of financial flows between PPM and the accounting layer.
  • Investigate project cost and revenue postings, unbilled and deferred balances, WIP, and related accounting flows.
  • Work directly with business users and key users to understand and resolve accounting and financial issues.
  • Perform detailed root cause analysis, distinguishing between user, data, process, training, and system issues.
  • Qualify and escalate genuine system defects to the central Oracle functional team, implementation partner, or Oracle Support.
  • Support UAT, regression testing, new releases, patches, and subsequent deployment waves.
  • Support go-live, cutover, post-go-live stabilisation, and early financial close activities.
  • Build and adjust OTBI and BI Publisher reports within the regional reporting scope where required.
  • Coach key users and contribute to training materials, quick reference guides, and knowledge-base content.
  • Document known issues, workarounds, and resolution patterns.
  • Work closely with the PPM consultant and wider functional team to resolve end-to-end issues across project and accounting processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on Oracle Fusion functional experience.
  • At least two full Oracle implementation lifecycles from design through post-go-live support.
  • Deep Oracle Fusion Accounting and Financials experience.
  • Strong General Ledger and Subledger Accounting experience.
  • Good working knowledge of AP, AR, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, and Tax.
  • Ability to trace transactions end to end from source through subledger and into General Ledger.
  • Strong understanding of reconciliation and financial accounting processes.
  • Experience working within project-based, services, engineering, or similarly complex organisations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including data interrogation and investigation of accounting entries.
  • Practical experience with OTBI and BI Publisher.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with business users.
  • Experience working across multi-entity, multi-currency, and multi-GAAP environments is advantageous.
  • English language skills required; French would be advantageous.
  • Must be based in North America and able to work within US/Canada business hours.

Desirable

  • Oracle Fusion Financials certification.
  • Strong project accounting knowledge and experience working alongside Oracle PPM.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud deployments and post-go-live stabilisation.
  • Experience supporting financial close and reconciliation processes.
  • Experience with OTBI and BI Publisher reporting.
  • French language skills.
