Job Summary:

As a Data Engineering Architect specializing in Snowflake, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust data solutions for their clients. You will be responsible for leading data migration projects, developing and optimizing data pipelines, and providing pre-sales support to our sales team. This is a highly impactful role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Design & Development:
    • Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and store large volumes of data in Snowflake.
    • Implement robust ETL/ELT processes to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Data Migration:
    • Lead data migration projects from on-premises or other cloud platforms to Snowflake.
    • Develop and execute comprehensive data migration strategies, including data mapping, transformation, and validation.
  • Snowflake Architecture & Best Practices:
    • Define and implement best practices for data architecture, data modeling, and data governance within the Snowflake ecosystem.
    • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Pre-Sales Support:
    • Assist the sales team in pre-sales activities, including technical presentations, solution demonstrations, and proposal development.
    • Engage with potential clients to understand their data needs and provide tailored Snowflake-based solutions.
  • Collaboration & Leadership:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
    • Mentor and guide junior data engineers in best practices and technical skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on data architecture and pipeline design.
  • Proven expertise in Snowflake, including data warehousing, data modeling, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with data migration projects, including knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data integration tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend, Informatica).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.  
  • Proven experience in pre-sales support and client engagement is a significant plus.
