Data Platform Architect
Next Ventures is currently supporting one of the big 4 consultancies and we're looking for a Data Platform Architect:
2x per week in Eindhoven
Role Overview
• Architect and Design: Define and implement the architecture for data foundation platform level enablement’s, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Platform Engineering: Lead the development and integration of big data technologies, AI frameworks, and cloud-native solutions.
• Software Engineering in Platform Design: Ensure modularity, maintainability, and performance through clean architecture, design patterns, and automated testing.
• Technology Leadership: Drive adoption of modern data engineering practices and tools, including data lakehouse architectures and streaming solutions.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to align platform capabilities with business requirements and analytics use cases.
• Innovation: Stay ahead of emerging technologies in big data, AI, and cloud to continuously improve platform capabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Data platform and software design, development and implementation experience in context of Datalake, analytics platform, data foundation or related projects.
• Experience with Databricks, Spark, and Lakehouse architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Azure stack (Azure Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Functions, infrastructure, etc.).
• Proficiency in big data technologies (Event Hub, Delta Lake, Streaming Data Processing engines).
• Familiarity with AI frameworks and integration into data platforms.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and microservices.
• Ability to create robust, scalable, and secure platform designs.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities.
