MEP Lead – (Data Centre) - Dublin - 3 months+

We are looking for an experienced MEP Lead to support the delivery of a major data centre development, taking ownership of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing packages from design and construction through to commissioning and handover.

Working as part of the project delivery team, you will coordinate contractors, consultants and specialist vendors to ensure critical infrastructure is delivered safely, on programme and to the required technical and quality standards.

The Role

  • Lead the delivery and coordination of MEP systems throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee critical infrastructure including HV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, cooling, HVAC, BMS/controls and fire protection.
  • Manage and coordinate general contractors, MEP subcontractors, consultants and specialist vendors.
  • Review MEP designs, drawings, specifications and technical submittals, ensuring solutions are buildable and fully coordinated.
  • Identify and resolve design clashes, constructability issues, technical risks and programme dependencies.
  • Monitor MEP delivery against programme, budget, quality and safety requirements.
  • Manage technical RFIs, design changes and engineering issues throughout construction.
  • Coordinate MEP interfaces with CSA, ICT, security and other project disciplines.
  • Support procurement and delivery of critical equipment and OFCI packages.
  • Work closely with commissioning teams through testing, IST, snagging and final handover.
  • Provide regular progress reporting and proactively manage project risks.

Your Experience

  • Strong experience as an MEP Lead, MEP Construction Manager, MEP Project Manager or similar on large-scale construction projects.
  • Previous data centre or mission-critical project experience.
  • Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical infrastructure, particularly critical power and cooling systems.
  • Experience managing contractors, consultants and specialist vendors.
  • Good understanding of design coordination, construction sequencing, QA/QC and commissioning.
  • Experience delivering projects against demanding programme, cost and quality targets.
  • Strong technical, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Relevant qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services or Construction Engineering preferred.

Desirable: Experience working client-side for a data centre developer/operator, hyperscale projects, OFCI equipment, BIM/design coordination or DfMA.
