Oracle Tax Consultant

Start Date: ASAP
Location: UK – Fully Remote
Duration: 6 months + extension
Rate: Outside IR35

Key Responsibilities

Configure and support Oracle Cloud Tax, including tax regimes, rules, rates, and tax box allocation.
Create and document tax box allocation instructions, ensuring correct mapping for VAT reporting and compliance.
Design and implement processes for supplier setup involving tax, withholding tax, and VAT requirements.
Support the configuration of nominal-based VAT reclaiming, including rules for reclaim by nominal codes or tax accounts.
Work with finance and procurement teams to ensure accurate tax handling across AP, AR, and purchasing flows.
Produce functional specifications, configuration documentation, and test scripts.
Support SIT/UAT cycles, troubleshoot issues, and assist with cutover activities.
Provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Required Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Tax/EBTax configuration.
Solid understanding of UK/EU VAT and indirect tax legislation.
Experience with tax box allocations, supplier tax setups, withholding tax, and VAT reclaim processes.
Strong working knowledge of Oracle Cloud Financials (AP, AR, GL, Procurement).
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; able to work independently in a remote setting.
