Security Engineer

Summary Description: Our client is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a contract position in the Utrecht area. This role involves developing an operational dashboard for a highly secure environment, and collaborating with developers to design and implement security and operational performance models.

Salary: Day Rate 

Location/Language: Utrecht area, proficiency in English required

Requirements Description:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of Rijksoverheid standards and experience within the Rijksoverheid.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies, SDM/Yourdon, RUP, and modeling techniques.
  • Proficiency in functional analysis, design documentation, and information modeling.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in security-related data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Experience with SIEM systems, preferably Splunk.
  • Familiarity with Python, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and incident response processes.

Tasks Description:

  • Analyzing and interpreting security event logs.
  • Monitoring security alerts and investigating incidents.
  • Managing and optimizing data processing tools.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation of processes and workflows.
  • Generating reports and presentations for stakeholders.
