Full Stack Software Engineer

We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join an early-stage engineering team building AI-powered software for the behavioral healthcare industry. This is a high-ownership environment where engineers have significant autonomy and are expected to take features from initial concept and system design through production deployment.

The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in fast-paced startup environments, enjoys solving ambiguous problems, and is excited about using AI-native development tools as part of their everyday workflow.

The Role

You’ll have the opportunity to own entire product areas end-to-end, working across the frontend, backend, infrastructure, and AI layers of the platform.

You will:

• Own product features from roadmap and system design through development, testing, and production deployment.

• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI.

• Develop modern, responsive user experiences using TypeScript and React.

• Design and optimize data models and queries using PostgreSQL.

• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure and services within AWS.

• Develop integrations and automation workflows that interact with third-party platforms.

• Work with browser automation technologies such as Playwright when APIs are limited or unavailable.

• Write reliable, maintainable, and well-tested code.

• Contribute to architectural and technical decisions across the product.

• Use AI coding tools extensively to accelerate development while applying strong engineering judgment to review, validate, and improve generated code.

• Collaborate closely with a small, highly technical team where individual contributions have a significant impact on the product.

Engineering Culture

This is a high-agency, ownership-driven environment. Engineers are expected to operate independently, identify problems, propose solutions, and move projects forward without waiting for detailed instructions.

You’ll have substantial autonomy and the opportunity to own meaningful areas of the product. The team values engineers who are comfortable making difficult technical decisions, challenging assumptions, and balancing speed with sound system design.

The engineering workflow is AI-native, with tools such as Claude Code and Codex integrated directly into the development process. Rather than treating AI as an occasional productivity tool, the team uses LLM-based development agents as a core part of its engineering workflow.

Strong fundamentals remain critical—you should be comfortable evaluating AI-generated solutions, identifying flaws, and making thoughtful architectural decisions independently.

• Strong full-stack software engineering experience.

• Professional experience with Python and modern backend frameworks.

• Strong experience building applications with React and TypeScript.

• Experience designing and working with PostgreSQL databases.

• Experience deploying and operating applications in AWS.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage environment with a high degree of autonomy.

• Strong system design and architectural judgment.

• Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them from idea to production.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Interest in AI-assisted and AI-native software development.
