Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Tech Lead to guide our backend engineering team. As the Tech Lead, you'll be working closely with a team of talented engineers to design, build, and maintain high-quality APIs using Kotlin. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the technical excellence of our backend systems and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.

What You’ll Be Doing
 

• Lead the design and development of robust APIs services ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and deliver backend solutions that align with the company's vision and goals.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews to maintain our high standard of code quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging best practices in backend development and staying abreast of industry trends and technologies.
• Liaise between the development team and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Participate actively in the recruitment and training processes to build a strong and competent backend engineering team.
   

What You Bring To The Table
 

• 5+ years of experience in backend development with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or senior engineering role.
• Proficient with Kotlin, or experience with Java.
• Extensive experience with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud computing platforms (e.g. Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices in backend development.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and lead in a team environment.
• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or React is a plus
