Hi, 

For our client, a global consultancy company services specialised in the automotive industry I'm looking for a Defect Manager.

Role Summary:
•    Drives end-to-end management of all development-phase software defects for P1H/A5U/X250, ensuring timely triage, root-cause analysis, systemic feedback, and convergence tracking to uphold code quality and process maturity.
Core Responsibilities:
•    Leads triage of dev-issues [AH1] [JS2] into CFT, SW Platform, and Global Architecture.
•    Owns RTC defect flow: ensures correct triage, duplication checks, subsystem routing, and resolution convergence.
•    Analyzes root cause of defects and maps them to systemic issues or breakdowns (e.g., gateway integration, comms protocols, safety diagnostics).
Supported by: Specification Quality Lead
•    Drives feedback into SW Dev teams for process/gating improvement—focusing on preventing repeat failures through internal process maturity.
•    Reports weekly status to Program Quality Managers via Milestone dashboards.
•    Participates in escalation meetings and provides detailed defect analysis.
Supported by: Program Quality Managers
•    Coordinates with Specification Leads and SW Architects to identify recurring architectural weak points.
•    Escalates repeated or cross-domain issues into a Quality review with Program QMs and the Director of SPFA Quality.
•    Feeds RCA into development teams and supports gating-process updates to embed corrective actions.
•    Drives systemic issue analysis (e.g., gateways, networks, diagnostics) to uncover broader quality risks.
•    Partners with Quality Support Analyst on defect-cleanup tasks and owner follow-up to free up deeper analysis time."

Contract: Freelance 
Experience required : Minimum 3 years of experience 
Start date: ASAP 
Duration: 6 months + extension 
Location: Turin, Italy
