Job Title: Lead DevOps Engineer

Role:

Our client is an innovative FinTech company and the market leader in providing data and business intelligence to help customers make faster and smarter investment decisions. They are looking to hire a Lead DevOps Engineer to a play a pivotal role in overseeing the development, implementation and maintenance of their DevOps infrastructure and processes. You will lead a team of DevOps engineers, while collaborating with many other groups across Engineering and Information Technology to automate and streamline operations. Ensuring reliability, scalability and security of systems and applications will be paramount.

Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance, mentorship and technical expertise to team of DevOps engineers
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for applications and machine learning models on AWS
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to efficiently manage AWS resources
• Utilize AWS services and best practices for high availability, reliability and performance of production systems
• Implement security best practices specific to AWS to safeguard infrastructure and data
• Work closely with software developers and data engineers to optimize performance and reliability
• Write Python scripts and automation code to enhance DevOps processes
• Continuously evaluate and implement the latest DevOps tools and technologies
• Provide innovative solutions and expertise to maximize productivity and impact, while keeping up with industry best practices
• Effectively communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on project statuses, issues and recommendations

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a DevOps engineer, with at least 2 years in a leadership position
• Expert knowledge of AWS services and solutions
• Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure-as-code & configuration management tools (Terraform, SaltStack or equivalent)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such us Github Actions, Jenkins or equivalent
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Cloud Watch or equivalent
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Extensive leadership skills
• AWS certifications are a plus
