SAP Integration Architect

We are seeking an experienced SAP Integration Architect with strong SAP and webMethods integration expertise to join a major, live transformation programme for a new company environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on integration specialist who has delivered complex enterprise integration implementations and can take ownership of the webMethods workstream, connecting SAP with a broad landscape of satellite applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• taking responsibility for the design, implementation and delivery of integrations between SAP and associated satellite systems whilst leading the webMethods integration workstream.
• Define and deliver robust integration architectures across a complex enterprise application landscape of approximately 400 applications.
• Design, build and implement SAP-to-webMethods interfaces, ensuring reliable communication between SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure and maintainable integration solutions.
• Work closely with SAP functional teams, application owners, technical architects and third-party delivery teams to ensure end-to-end integration alignment.
• Support interface design, integration patterns, technical specifications and implementation standards.
• Oversee integration development, configuration, testing, defect resolution and deployment activities.
• Identify and resolve integration challenges across a complex, multi-application environment.
• Contribute to integration testing, end-to-end validation, cutover planning and go-live readiness.
• Ensure the integration landscape is implemented effectively within a greenfield environment, supporting the establishment of the new company's technology landscape.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as an SAP Integration Architect, SAP Integration Consultant or webMethods Integration Architect.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP and webMethods, ideally within a complex enterprise implementation.
• Demonstrable experience delivering SAP integration implementations, connecting SAP with multiple satellite applications and external systems.
• Experience leading an integration workstream or taking technical ownership of integration delivery.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration architecture, interface design and integration patterns.
• Experience working across large, complex application landscapes with multiple system dependencies.
• Proven implementation experience within major transformation, separation, carve-out or greenfield programmes.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and take ownership of technical deliverables in a pressured project environment.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.

Project Context

The programme involves establishing a new company environment, with the existing systems and application landscape being cloned and implemented within a greenfield setup.

The wider landscape comprises approximately 400 applications, requiring experienced integration professionals to ensure SAP and other satellite systems are connected effectively.

This is an integration delivery role, not a data migration role. The primary focus is on SAP/webMethods integration architecture and implementation rather than data extraction, transformation or migration.
